The Real

Francois Voyer

In general, the Cognacs of Francois Voyer are considered a “masculine style” with a somewhat muted nose, and huge, robust flavors on the palate, with long, powerful finishes.

Quite often we have found that those connoisseurs who appreciate a good Bourbon, or Highland Single Malt Scotch will appreciate the Cognacs of Francois Voyer the most.

Voyer VS — 5 yrs old.  (40% alc/vol)

Golden copper color, hints of violet with smooth almost sweet oak finish.  Try it with one part cognac, 3 parts tonic or fruit juice over ice in a tall glass.

Voyer VSOP — 9 yrs old  (40% alc/vol)

Warm lemon gold color.  Melba toast, fresh biscuit scents; slight spice; nice warmth; apricot and orange; warm finish with surprising good length, excellent balance & weight.

Voyer XO - 25 yrs. Old  (40% alc/vol)

Tawny gold; warm and inviting brioche nose; cinnamon and allspice; sweet dark plum and raisin hints, delicious baked bread/brulee finish with coffee and toffee hints.  Rich, very rich.

Voyer Hors d’Age — 50 yrs old (43% alc/vol)

A nose of coffee, cacao, clove & cinnamon, delicate tinges of dried fruit...truffles, wood berries, and delicate accents of pepper and vanilla lead on the palate, with much more to follow for the patient connoisseur.  The finish is all Grande Champagne...oh my!

The Cognacs of Francois Voyer are among the most Prestigious and Elite of all Cognacs — They are from just a Single Vineyard in the Grande Champagne region of Cognac in France.  The family of Francois Voyer have been on their 48 acres in the Grande Champagne making their cognac since 1795.  The Grande Champagne is the first growth, the best region of Cognac, and the craftsmanship afforded a cognac from a single small vineyard is the key to creating these monuments to the art of Cognac.

Voyer Napoleon — 15 yrs old  (40% alc/vol)

Beautiful Amber/Topaz color.  Scents of marzipan, nougat, and dark honey.  The palate is dry with mineral and wet tobacco overtones.  Finish is sweet oak and smooth.
